Terms of service

1. Who we are

UCRAssist (“we”) is an independent, privately owned filing service. We are not the Unified Carrier Registration Plan, FMCSA, the U.S. Department of Transportation or any state agency, and we are not affiliated with or endorsed by them. The official registration portal is www.ucr.gov, where any carrier may register directly for the government fee alone.

2. The service

When you place an order and authorize us, we act as your agent to (a) verify the information you provide against the public FMCSA register, (b) determine the fee bracket and base state under the UCR Plan rules from the information you give us, (c) submit your UCR registration for the selected year through the UCR National Registration System, paying the government fee from the amount you paid us, and (d) deliver the official receipt to you by email and on your order page.

3. Your responsibilities

You confirm that you are authorized to act for the company, that the vehicle count, entity type and base state you provide are accurate, and that you understand states audit UCR counts against MCS-150 and IRP records. You are responsible for keeping vehicle lists (UCR-1 / UCR-2) where the rules require them, and for your company's compliance generally. We may ask you questions before filing; the filing waits until they are answered.

4. Price

The price is shown before payment as two lines: the government fee for your bracket and registration year, passed through at cost, and our service fee. There are no other charges. If our verification shows a different bracket than the one you selected, we will tell you before filing; a lower bracket is refunded in the difference, a higher one requires your approval and a separate payment of the exact official difference.

5. Timing

We normally file within one business day of receiving payment and any answers we need from you. We are not responsible for delays caused by the UCR portal, FMCSA systems, payment networks, or your base state, nor for fines or out-of-service orders arising before the registration is recorded.

6. Refunds

See the refund policy, which forms part of these terms. In short: a full refund before filing; after the government fee has been paid to the UCR Plan it is non-refundable by anyone, and only our service fee can be refunded, at our discretion.

7. No legal or tax advice

Everything on this site is general information about the UCR program drawn from public sources. It is not legal or tax advice and does not create any professional relationship. For determinations about your specific situation, consult the UCR help desk or qualified counsel.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the service fee you paid for the order concerned. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, including fines, lost loads or downtime. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Communications

By ordering you agree to receive transactional email about your order. Renewal reminders are sent only if you opt in and can be stopped at any time by replying STOP.

10. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the version in force when you place an order applies to that order. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: support@ucrassist.com.
